Harley Lacy has joined MWH Global as business development and strategy executive for its environment-and-ecology group in Australia. The role follows the firm's purchase of Perth-based Outback Ecology, a natural-resources consultant of which he was chairman and founder. About 70 employees have joined MWH.

The American Road & Transportation Builders Association has named Una Connolly as vice president of safety and environmental compliance. She was associate vice president of occupational and environmental health at the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association. ARTBA also named on June 5 four individuals to its Hall of Fame for 2013. Recognized for innovation are J. Don Brock, founder of roadbuilding equipment maker Astec Industries, and, posthumously, O.H. Ammann (1879-1965), renowned bridge designer and founder of the Ammann & Whitney design firm. Recognized for leadership that advanced transportation's "interests and image" are Gene McCormick, a Parsons Brinckerhoff senior vice president and former U.S. Transportation Dept. official, and, posthumously, Robert A. Briant Sr., longtime Utility & Transportation Contractors Association of New Jersey CEO. He died in February at 76.

Alan Locke and John Gautrey have joined North American design firm Stantec as principals. The roles follow the firm's June 3 purchase of IBE Consulting Engineers, a 50-person, Sherman Oaks, Calif.-based MEP design firm at which they were founding partner and partner, respectively. Also named a principal is Susie Krauss, former owner of interior-design consultant AP/ID, Vancouver, British Columbia, which also was acquired on June 3.
